When weathering, I always use multiple washes of thinned out colors, well you`re going to need something to mix all that in. Heres a quick and easy tip to mix up your washes, and its reusable! Here`s what you will need, A lid from a plastic container, this one is from a tub of butter, several lids from soda bottles, and 5 minute epoxy. Take a piece of 220 grit sandpaper and scuff the large lid, and also the lids from the soda bottles. Don`t skip this step, if you do the lids won`t stick too well. Mix up a generous amount of 5 minute epoxy on the large lid. Spread the 5 minute epoxy around evenly, and start pressing the lids into it. Now you have a reusable multiple wash pallete. This one can hold up to 9 different colors. Thats it! Mix up your colors in the lids, and when you`re done you can rinse it out and use it over and over again. It should last a long time, but if it doesn`t you can always make another one! |
